Monterrey Security is currently accepting applications for Event Services Interns to be part of our 2017 season. Interns will gain first-hand experience in the field by meeting and working alongside industry professionals at world class venues. Our goal is to provide you with an opportunity to gain experiences in event management, security, ushering, and guest services.

Monterrey Security provides event services for the University of Notre Dame’s Football Stadium.

This is a seasonal part-time position that requires a time commitment of 20-40 hours a week and is eligible for college credit.

Job Duties:

• Help ensure adherence to all administrative policies and procedures
• Assist in the execution of event day operations and functions
• Communicate with all levels of staff effectively and in a timely manner
• Schedule employees and help oversee staffing levels for events
• Organize and supervise event equipment drop off and pickup
• Identify potential process improvements to include cost savings and increased revenue
• Perform administrative functions during the week and on event day
• Proactively communicate with the Director of Event Services and management team

Qualifications:

• Pursing or completed a Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, sport management, hospitality or related field
• Demonstrate positive leadership qualities and strong interpersonal skills to aid in training new employees
• Must be willing to take direction and lead by example
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Must be computer literate and have working knowledge in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Must be able to respond to change in a positive and productive way
• Must exhibit an emphasis on customer service
• Demonstrate organization and attention to detail
• Ability to handle multiple tasks
• Excellent problem solving and negotiation skills

Requirements:

• Must be able to life 25lbs or more
• Able to be on your feet for up to 8 hours
• Ability to work nights, weekends and some holidays in various weather conditions
